CDA Summer Theater Back on Stage in 2014

By Paige Browning

Nine-to-Five, Romance/Romance, and Mary Poppins will not be the last productions put on by the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theater. The theaters board of directors said in August there were not enough funds to host a 2014 season, but this week theater leaders announced the show is back on.

The Coeur d’Alene Summer Theater will have two big productions, instead of four, and will change locations from North Idaho College to the more affordable Salvation Army Kroc Center. They'll bring My Fair Lady the week after 4th of July, and a yet to be announced second show.

The theater website says Laura Little has been hired as the executive director, and Jadd Davis has signed on as artistic director. Little replaces Michelle Mendez, while Davis replaces Roger Welch as artistic director. Little founded Laura Little Theatrical Productions, and served in this executive director role in the past.

We will have more information as we speak with theater leadership and once they release details about the upcoming season.
