The Bookshelf producers are taking a break this year—quite a long one! With a backlog of several years’ productions, we are going to spend 2014 with reruns.

This is where our listeners come in: You get to pick the books. We know you have favorite books and readers, so let us know what books you’d like to hear again and we’ll do our best to put them on our schedule. Send us your ideas by email or postcard.

My goodness!—Why didn’t we think of this before? Now we can sit around with our feet up! And we may even produce new Bookshelf episodes for 2015.

We’re excited to see what you come up with, so send us your requests.  If you'd like to hear something that we've featured before, here is a list of the books in our archive:  Bookshelf Archive.

KPBX 91.1 presents a local series of regional, topical, and classical works read by community volunteers and staff members. The half-hour, four day per week program is produced by Nancy Roth and Verne Windham.  Learn about Nancy's picks for the Spokane Public Library here.
