Your Support Makes All the Difference
Thank you for your support!
2013 was an exciting year of programs, changes, and working to improve and expand SPR’s public radio service. This year promises no less—and it couldn’t happen without you.
One of the biggest changes was to our fund drives: Done-In-One! It’s hard to dial it back to the old ways, and listeners tell us they like it this way. But there is a downside: a sharp decline in NEW members. In fact, only 1/3 of new members signed on with the one-day drive, and it’s a significant loss. A sustainable future depends upon keeping new members coming in.
This spring we’re planning a one-day drive for NEW MEMBERS on March 13th to offset the trend! The Joel E. Ferris Foundation has provided a generous grant to help us reach our goal of 300 New Members by the end of our one day drive on March 13th. Your renewal now helps us to keep on air pledging to a minimum and allow us to focus on New Members on that very important day.
Additional ways you can help: Share on social media, friend and share our Facebook page, tweet on twitter #SPR, #SpokanePublicRadio! Advocate for the public radio station you choose to support, one listener at a time. Help us convince all those you know, to not only be an active member of the listening audience but an active member of the station.
You are our best advocate, the community of people whose support and generosity allows us to deliver the news, music, national programs and local artists that we all enjoy and expect from your public radio station.
You are the “Public” in Spokane Public Radio. KPBX, KPBZ, KSFC are a community treasures of which to be proud. 2014 will be an exciting year full of change and growth. We would love for all of you to be a part of it!
Membership is Spokane Public Radio's largest and most reliable source of revenue. Over one-third of our annual budget comes from your generous support.
Membership support helps us to pay for producing such programs as Movies 101, Front Porch Bluegrass, and Broadway Matinee. We also pay for national programming, like NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered, PRI's This American Life, APM's Marketplace, and many more.
Your support also pays for your daily news and information: coverage from an in-house local news staff, reporting from the Northwest News Network, and national and world reporting from NPR and the BBC.
In short, Spokane Public Radio would not be possible without our members.
Consider becoming a member today, and supporting the public radio station you rely on every day.
