Primary Election results from Washington state and Spokane County, as of Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.

33 percent of registered voters voted

For US Representative in eastern Washington, the top two candidates are Republican Cathy McMorris Rodgers with 52 percent of the vote, and Democrat Joe Pakootas with 29 percent. Dave Wilson and Tom Horne will not advance.

For state representative in district three, Marcus Riccelli will advance with 58 percent, as will Tim Benn with 34 percent. Randy McGlenn is out. The other rep seat in district three has just two candidates, Timm Ormsby with 70 over Paul Delaney’s 30 percent. Among the three republicans running for state rep in district four, Bob McCaslin, 45 percent, and Diana Wilhite, 31 percent, will advance.

In races for state senator, Republican Michael Baumgartner is beating Rich Cowan by 14 percentage points, in the 6th legislative district. In the 7th district, Republican Brian Dansel has 34 more points than Republican Tony Booth.

The race for Spokane County Commissioner is close, but incumbent Al French is holding on with 36.6 percent, Democrat Mary Lou Johnson has 36.3 percent, and Independent Bonnie Mager 27 percent.

For county treasurer, it’s tight with both Republican Rob Chase and Democrat Amy Biviano at 39 percent, and the GOP’s Mary Kuney will not advance.

In other county races, auditor Vicki Dalton is leading challenger Alene Lindstrand by 22 points, for prosecutor Larry Haskell Leads Breeann Beggs by 16 percentage points, and Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich beats Doug Orr by 45 points.
