About Mike:
Through 2008, volunteer music librarian Mike Wiebers delighted summer audiences with Short 'n' Sweet, a program featuring pieces of less than five minutes that fit the week's theme. In 2009, he wanted to try something a little different. "There are so many interesting things that never get played…I find the nooks and crannies of this place that people have forgotten and try to tie them together." Mike's new show will feature everything from ragtime and swing to Broadway and movie overtures. "Music reflects the society," says Mike. Mike calls What I've Found "different, but not strange." He's found a lot of gems and learned a lot since he started volunteering at SPR. He proudly says that "this is a great family with great, crazy people-and I'm becoming one too!" Tune in and get hooked on this summer treat!
