KSFC Talks: The Budding Business of Marijuana
How are state revenues being impacted by the legal pot trade? Are law enforcement authorities now saving money and time by not having to go after pot smokers? What dangers are posed by marijuana edibles to consumers? These are a few of the questions Spokane Public Radio poses at this on-air panel discussion taking place Tuesday, September 23 at Noon, airing only on KSFC 91.9 FM.
Reporter and regional Morning Edition host Steve Jackson moderates the hour-long discussion about the issues Washington State faces now that recreational marijuana is legal. Panelists include:
- Alison Holcomb, Drug Policy Director of ACLU of Washington State, primary author of I-502.
- Ozzie Knezovich, Spokane County Sheriff.
- Chris Marr, Liquor Control board member and former state senator for Spokane.
- Kevin Oliver, Board of Directors of NORML, current marijuana producers license holder.
Steve will accept questions through email sent in advance to FrontDesk@kpbx.org.
KSFC will rebroadcast this forum at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sep. 25 and at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sep. 28.
